Photographer’s Note

Hi, my friends, I'm back after a one week trip across the state of Espirito Santo, (Brazil southeast), guided by my Trekearth friend Felipe Souza .

"The Villa of Itaúnas and its dunes are one of the largest tourist attractions of the North of the State. The life in the place is rustic and simple. The dunes are 30 kilometers far from the villa and 289 kilometers from Vitória.

They are a true desert, having appeared starting at the decade of 1930, with the exploration of the wood and knocked down of the trees of the north of the State.

The sands of the beaches moved forward and covered an entire city, forcing the inhabitants to build it a new city in another place.

The dunes has 5 kilometers of extension, with 20 to 30 meters height. They occupy the marine strip, with about 1 kilometer of width."

Hi Carmem,
I like the colors of this picture, the golden sand and the pink-blue sky. I especially like the POV, the use of the wide angle (I presume) is a great choice. To have taken the tree in this picture is a big +, since it gives the feeling of the space. Thank you for sharing.

Hello Carmem, this is my favourite between the two others: minimal and itauna dunes the other one. Because here there is a three dimension feel of it, imho.

Great composition, colour and dof. Great shadows of the end of day on the sand and soft hues in the clouds.
