Photographer’s Note
In the beautiful Luz station, there was this boy staring at us while the powerful diagonals slowly gained speed.
Could photograph this subject forever...
pp: cropped to align borders, played with levels, curves.
hope you like it. :))

Cool looking shot. I really like where you have tucked the guy in the frame. The colors look great and I like the motion of the trains too. I just wish he was a little sharper. Nice shot.

The framing here is wonderful, Isabel, it really suggests motion and disorientation. Good colors, too. Very nice work!

Wow! A powerful composition with so many strong lines and the striking color. Excellent geometrical motifs.

Yes, staring, but in a nice way...not like my rugby player! His most appropriately dressed in RED which is then picked up by the lines on the near train roof and and door and enhanced by al tghe blue lines above. Great composition anchored by a human face. Bravo! Francis

Great feeling of speed captured here, the strong colours add even more impact - just a small thing, it would have been nice if it had been possible for the boy to have been in sharper focus.
But still a stunning image :)

Oi Isabel, Tudo bem?
I love the strong colours and the blur, yes maybe the boy could be sharper, but this is ever so nice, the tilt is great.
I wish I had taken a better look what you were doing at the station, as I have so few good pictures from Luz, should have taken the time to learn more from you here ;-)

The guys seems to be hoping for something rather badly too! Great lines and colour Isabel. I think I'd crop a bit closer to get rid of the orange think in the top right though.
Cheers!

Isabelle,
This is wonderful!
The angle at which you've shot the train is beautiful, as it towers over the young man. And the little touches: the match between the red and blue of his hooded top and the red and blue of the train.
But most of all, the power of the train could not be more evident. It certainly seems evident to the young man, who looks emotional to me, his hands raised and clasped together as though he's praying. Or maybe, in the words of futurist F.T. Marinetti, he is simply in awe of the "deep-chested locomotives whose wheels paw the tracks like the hooves of enormous steel horses bridled by tubing."
Simply beautiful.

Hey Isabel,
Very interesting shot and I loved the way you captured it. Very nice angle. The boy looks a bit anxious and also a bit cold. Very good timing. Thanks.

Oi Isabel :-), this is deliciously graphic and coloufull. The diagonal multicolour streak is very engaging and dynamic and the boy seems to be pleading to you. If he had been rendered a tad sharper the effect this pic would have been even stronger, but its already very good as it is. Beijo de Rotterdam, Bert.

Hi Isabel, this is a very dynamic and original photo. I like the lines and the strong red white and blue colours. The photo shows a lot of action and the blur shapes emphasize that. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Isabelle,
Love the tilt which emphasizes the feeling of movement from the trains. Also love all the diagonal lines highlited by the nice colours. It looks like a very modern and efficient system.

As linhas coloridas do teto do trem trabalharam de forma significativa para o grande resultado estético. Muito boa.

Hello, Isabel
Yes, I like the photo - it gave me idea of something. I prepare a photo series of the life of a friend, and I shall use this subject when she waits her morning work train in Chicago. I hope I will get at least similar photo conditions.
Regards,
Asparuh
