Photographer’s Note
this is the first in a series of photos of people whose work sometimes goes unnoticed,
in this case she is cleaning the train station "Luz" in Sao Paulo.
Nobody has marked this note useful

Hello Elena,
What a beautiful composition! A moving, nice hommage to the cleaning lady. This time her work didn't go unnoticed! And your PoV is superb.
Thanks,
Sarolta

Elena, I look foward to the series you are shooting. I a good point of view, but I don't like how the womon the on the right is hidden behind the pole. If would be better if somneone was walking on the left side of the photo instead. This would create a better balance to the frame over all and show the contrast between the fast movement of the figure, slow motion of the worker and the sillness of the lamp post.

Hi Elena,
The idea is pretty good, but I felt like most of the left part of the composition didn't add much to the picture, so I tried a workshop and cropped it. Your note fits perfectly with the girl's reaction in the top right corner, making like the woman didn't exist...

Interesting view with different spots of colours.
The repetitive pattern makes her work infinite...
I don't know about the girl in the top-right hand corner.

I don't mind the girl in the corner at all, although the left hand side is a little empty. A vertical crop would have made it a little more balanced. But anyway I love the spare composition here and your idea is very interesting! I'm looking forward to more people with overlooked jobs!

This is a very interesting shot, excellent elements but I am afraid the framing is a bit off to the left...ideally I would have liked it a bit more to the right, with the broom in the left third lower corner, and the timing just half a second later so the girl striding into the field had cleared the lamp post and moved into the upper top third of the frame. That would make this a terrific photo.

Dear Elena, I had noticed this picture several time before and today I opened it for the first time. All I can say is what an "under-appreciated" image this is, deserving much broader recognition. Graphically it works like a dream, the bright blue of the cleaning lady offset by the red sign. Then you have the confident young woman striding by, ignoring the cleaner, adding another layer. All this against the background of those endless tiles.
Great shot. wonderful TE idea for a series. Bravo! Francis

A great one Elena. A strong message in the bent back and the woman rushing by in a hurry. I like the empty spaces a lot.
