Rinie,

This is a really great one!

First I'm amazed that you found a place where ALL the mannequins were naked. I mean one or two, as they're being dressed, I've seen, but not this.

Also I love the way that they come in two tiers, the ones outdoors, in the full sun, and the ones indoors, whose contours are softened by the shadows and whose faces are invisible.

(And the facelessness of those mannequeins is an issue in itself that provokes a little thought. When a photographer fails or refuses to show a person's face it's significant because we can't see who they are, but what exactly does it mean with mannequins?)

Finally, of course, The Guy. His expression is perfect, a little like he's flinching as he realizes he's in your shot, maybe just a bit apprehensive too, as though he's suddenly been gripped by an irrational fear that he might end up being shown with a bunch of naked mannequins in a picture posted on an international web site! ;)

I bet you really were waiting for him and I'm glad you had the patience -- it really paid off (not to mention the good timing to catch him looking directly at you).

Fantastic crop. WHat an expression on the guy's face, Rinnie! I know exactly what'S going on, he thinks "Sorry I spoiled your shot", right? But the last thing you want to say to him is "No, my good sir, actually you MADE my shot!"

It's great that you waited for this guy, he adds so much here, Rinie. Actually he became the main subject in this picture. Well, from the thumbnail I thought that they are real, but I am not disappointed that I oppened it..

Yes he really looks like: oh I am sorry that I am standing in the way. I like is his friendly/shy expression. Funny!
The composition is good I think, cause it's very "filled", there is a lot to see and because of the repetion of the shapes of the mannequins, the photo becomes very strong.

Hi Rinie, heerlijk werk deze capture. De combinatie van zijn gezichtsuitdrukking, het feit dat hij in je shot loopt en de full frontal nudity waar hij voor staat werkt geweldig. Ook als grafisme is deze interessant! Ik ben benieuwd naar je volgende post.
