Photographer’s Note
Here we are at the Sala Sao Paulo, a concert hall, and belonging of the five best halls (one is in Amsterdam BTW) in the world.
We checked it this afternoon before going to the concert tonight. We thought it was quite OK ;-)
What you see here is the bottom of a row of chairs, with the four dotted bolts.
Check out Isabel´s picture of the same hall here.
We enjoyed a great concert tonight!
Hope you like our images of the hall.

Hi Rinie
It certainly looks like the good times are rolling in brazil.
This is a very graphic photo with wonderful wrm tones. In particularl i like the row of the seat backs on the lower left creating a scalloped effect.
Have fun and drink a caipirinha for me....

There are many interesting lines here. Its hard to get a handle on them all as they are going in many directions. I like the geometry of this shot, I also like how its almost monotone with that reddish/brown dominating. Personally, I find the left upper corner distracting as it doesnt really fit coloristically or geometrically.

You do love geometry, indeed! Rhythm and patterns, lines and blocks... disturbed only by the intrusive light on the column and the unwritten laws of usage! I really like the diagonal in the lower right corner, formed by the seats no longer perfectly aligned...
It brings dynamism to a what otherwise would be a slightly boring shot... for me, at least.
The only thing missing is the music. I find quite frustrating to see one of the finest concert halls in the world without getting a taste of how it sounds.
Can't you manage to blend image and acoutiscs, while you're over there, Rinie? ;-)
PS Did you attempt to correct the optical distorsion? I find some of the lines quite "strange", giving me the impression that horizontals are straight and verticals are still pincushioned... Or is it simply too early in the morning for me? *o)
Take care...

Oi

Hey Rinie! Also for you I am having a short interruption in my “TE burnout”, because I just can’t let the two of you having fun in Latin America without letting you know that I’m rather jealous about that... ;-) I like the geometrical study that you made of this picture. Interesting use of horizontal and vertical lines. You chose a funny spot in the concert hall, with these chairs being positioned in perpendicular directions to each other. Cheers from Delft (and enjoy the caipirinhas...) and please say hello to Cesar, okay?
