Photographer’s Note
The statue of 'Christ the Redeemer' is what many people picture when they think of Rio de Janeiro. Standing 30m tall it sits atop of Corcovado, a 710m hill behind the city.
It is made from reinforced concrete with an outer mosaic layer sculpted from soapstone. Completed in 1931, it is top of the list for most who visit this amazing city.
I took plenty of photos the day I visited. After taking the standard shots I looked for an angle that would give people a different perspective of this amazing piece of architecture.

Very original compo. I would have removed the noise with PS but it's still a beautiful and original shot. BRavo!

Very nice crop with beautiful little detail the moon, Mark
I like the way you placed the moon here
It could be so many different meanings
But the simplicity of it all is the best

I love this composition. The moon is placed so well. The colors are great with the perfectly clear, blue sky. You cropped it very well. You could run it through NeatImage to reduce the noise. Great work!
