Photographer's Note

Here a photo took inside the Visitor Center. In the big cities is not so common see butterflies (only the very white and yellow ones). But in Itatiaia National Park the butterflies are present in all places.

Here a very beautiful one. With red, black and white colors it look a painting. Diferent from the city ones, the butterflies from the park are not afraid and you can touch them easy, as we can see here a visitor touching one.

Scientific name: Diaethria clymena
Size: 6 cm (for one wing to other).
Where it lives: Atlantic Forest and Cerrado.
Curiosity: The name 88 came from the draw on the wing that remember the number.
