Photographer's Note

Praia do Francês or "French Beach", is located in the Marechal Deodoro city. Located approximately 20 kilometers away from Maceió in the state of Alagoas, the Praia do Francês welcomes every visitor who comes to enjoy his/her vacation in its territory.
The area was inhabited by Caeté Indians in the era of
colonization. They were the first inhabitants in Pindorama, the land of the palms.
Today, this heavenly place is frequented by national and international tourists who choose it as their holiday destination because of its different options that include paragliding, fishing, surfing, scuba diving, and other aquatic sports.
The territory of Praia do Francês may be imaginatively divided into two parts, one that is calm and urbanized and even surrounded by coral reefs and the other part that is ideal for all those who want to surf and practice other sports.
With warm waters and temperate climate Praia do Francês offers tourists unique scenery to enjoy their vacations while staying at the best hotels or any of the famous Brazilian pousadas (inns in Portuguese) that offer wonderful services.
There are various travel agencies that offer convenient and great excursions in Praia do Francês that also include different meals so that you can also try the regional gastronomy.

Leonor,
a foto está um espetáculo mesmo. Gosto de temas rústicos e o barco é um exemplo perfeito.
Os arrecifes mais ao fundo fez-me lembrar Porto de Galinhas.
Sua nota com um resumo do exif da câmera também é legal, além é claro da descrição da praia do Francês.

Por fin nos deleitas con una nueva foto en tu galeria, una composicion preciosa a la vez que tiene un toque de nostalgia, estos barcos abandonados son retazos de las vidas y luchas pasadas en ellos.
Asi varado en la playa con esa dorada arena y esos bellos colores del mar y cielo es como una pintura. Una gran luminosidad y nitidez.

Ah visitei essa praia em 2004. Um dos locais mais bonitos que conheci no Nordeste. A foto do barco abandonado está excelente. Belas cores, texturas e composição. O triste é saber que apesar de ficar bonito na foto o barco está abandonado e pode poluir a praia.

Hello Leonor,

The old boat resting on its side and the spectacular beach comprise a poetic image. I can picture here the setting for Hemingway's "Old Man and the Sea." In North East Brazil, this must be close to the Equator.

Olá Leonor,

eu sou louco para encontrar um barco abandonado como esses. Sempre rendem belas composições, ainda mais quando o fotógrafo sabe trabalhar com a situação, como é o caso aqui. A divisão da cena entre areia e céu, e a disposição do barco no enquadramento estão perfeitos. Também adiciono um elogio ao controle de luz e cores. Magnífica!
