Photographer’s Note

What called my attention and made me push the release button was the flag in the black sands of Praia Preta (Black Beach) in Ilha Grande.

During the period of military govern in Brazil, it was strictly forbidden to use it for other purposes than "patriotic" ones. Nowadays, as you can see, it´s used in different moments of life. Young women wear it as sarongs and lay on it while at the beach.

Hi Isabel , I like this unseen through the bushes approach,it reminds one of a evidence gathering, the kind used by privates detectives ,however i doubt if these girl have much to hide.The Brazilian flag is used by the makers of a brand flip- flops the ones i see in the UK anyway, it appears on the strap.Enjoy the celebrations .Thanks Tom.

Belo flagrante por trás dos galhos! Uma imagem bonita e bem colorida, bem brasileira por todos os seus elementos! Pra ser uma arte mais brasileira ainda, seguindo o conselho do Diógenes, acho que nós, brasileiros do TE, devíamos lembrar de escrever as nossas notas também em português, afinal temos que ser independentes também de outros países em relação ao idioma! Felizmente os tempos mudaram para melhor. Hoje podemos usar livremente os símbolos da nossa pátria de uma maneira bem descontraída. Bacana esse seu jeito de homenagear o dia da independência, apresentando uma linda foto e claro, a nossa bandeira. Parabéns, Isabel! Grande abraço.

Um belo flagrante mesmo. Nossa bandeira estampada em uma saída de banho(?) Gosto da idéia, de verdade. A gente já usa em blusas, bonés e até calcinhas. Nada demais. Excelente captura. Parabéns

Beleza de fotografia aqui, amiga. Penso que toda a composição e o jogo de sombrar propiciou um interessante aspecto "voyeur".

essa aqui é bem no seu estilo. Gostei da inclusão dessas folhas e galhos desfocados. Eles dão um tom meio de voerismo interessante. A bandeira verde e amarela também fica como um belo ponto focal...além das meninas, é claro. Belo registro!

O ar paparazzi ficou algo humorístico. Como ilustração da nota, é uma foto bem representativa (se bem que young women wearing it as sarongs também seria interessante, especialmente para homens ;-)
O link tem muita informação (assim como a versão em português). Em Flags Of The World também há boas informações, mas quase só em inglês.
Juntei esta foto ao tema de bandeiras.
