Photographer’s Note

Belvedere became one of the most stylish districts of Belo Horizonte. With altitudes between 3600 and 4200 ft (1100 to 1270 m), it has a mild climate and offers a beautiful view of the city.

I remember very well, about 30 years ago, when the area was being divided in lots for urbanization, still without any buildings, people used to call it "paradise of bad drivers" – as there was no vehicles traffic, young people used to go there to learn how to drive, using their parents' cars, far from any control... and a lot of mistakes were committed there ;-)

It has changed a lot...

I used the "clone" tool of Photoshop to erase small reflections of the windshield of the car where I was; some sequelae remain on the columns of the building at left.
