Photographer’s Note

The 332 ft (101 m) high Alta Vila tower (the top is at about 1300 m/ 4265 ft above sea level, adding the altitude of the region where it is built) has its structure entirely covered by stainless steel. Fifty tons of steel were employed, all produced by ACESITA, a company from Minas Gerais.
The cone of the tower was set up with the aid of two helicopters.

At the top of the tower, there are three flying saucer-shaped floors (previous picture); in the first floor, there is an area for visitors, equipped with telescopes and where the bar and cafeteria SKY is located. From there, we can have a wide view of Belo Horizonte and surrounding regions.

It is also a good place for organizing events.

The linear structure we see out of the tower is a platform for "bungee jumping".
