Photographer's Note

This is my 400th post to this great site, and I've been posting here since nov/2005.
I choose this picture to post today not only because its beautiful colours, but also because this is a shot from my room to the beach where I've been bathing since I was 6yo, every summer. Caiobá is just 100km from my hometown.
I took this photo just when the first sun lights came, still wearing my pajamas. A few minutes after this red moment, I was cruising a boat, crossing beside that little island to go fishing the far blue waters with my father. In days like this, I feel that it doesn´t matter if I will catch any fish or no, because I can make my day with a couple of photos.

Essa foto comemorativa traz tanto motivo quanto abordagem perfeitamente convenientes: a nota esclarece a importância do local para sua história pessoal, algo por si só digno de brindar, e o amanhecer de cores e nuvens fantásticas envolve com bonitos reflexos a praia de Caiobá. Deduzo do exif que você tirou a foto sem tripé. Isso tornaria a possibilidade de bracketing mais difícil, o que seria a minha opção técnica para aumentar um pouco mais a luz sobre o mar. O efeito de penumbra e silhueta remete, no entanto, mais atenção ao céu, aludindo à cidade apenas nas formas. Que céu fabuloso...

A dark but moody image. wish the tower was full with light, but this image is more about the sky and those great colourful clouds. Impressive view, not bad from your room.

Beautiful picture with great sky colors, maybe a little bit dark specially in the area of the high buildings and houses for this reason I would like to insist how your shot can change just using Shadow/Highlight in Photodhop. I made a WS only opening photoshopCS3 and click in Shadow/Highlight and nothing else, you will see the result.
