Spotlight in the forest Photo

Photographer’s Note

I was crossing a pasture, near that stream you saw few posts ago, when I saw this butterfly enjoying the time, peacefully, inside a little piece of forest. These animals aren't so calm when a photographer is becoming so near and I was happy cause it wasn't paying attention on me and I did lots of shots. Unfortunately my camera isn't so nice to make macros and it is necessary lots of patience to get a nice work. This is a very usual butterfly in my region, I posted another photo showing the same animal many months ago. Here I guess the light is more special.

Eu estava cruzando uma pastagem, e estava bem próximo do ribeirão que vocês viram aqui dias atrás. Foi quando percebi esta borboleta no meio da mata. Estes animais são difíceis de fotografar pois fogem ante a aproximação dos fotógrafos. Neste caso fiquei feliz ao notar que o inseto não se importava com a minha presença e fiz muitas fotos dele. É uma borboleta comum por aqui, tenho até uma outra igualzinha, postada há meses. Aqui eu gostei foi do contraste da luz. Pena que minha câmera não seja muito boa para fazer macros, é necessário muita paciência para apanhar uma focagem ideal. Espero que os fiscais deixem passar esta imagem.

wonderful butterfly shot with great light conditions.
I like how the butterfly is spotlighted and its shadow on the leave is a nice detail in your picture. The illuminated colors of the butterfly build a good contrast with the dark background. Very well seen and done.

Acho que essa é uma de suas melhores, pelo menos em termos de "macro"! O controle e o equilíbrio da luminosidade estão simplesmente perfeitos! As cores estão naturalmente fantásticas! Toda a imagem é muito bonita, agradável e interessante!

Olá Jorge, pelos vistos os fiscais andam a ficar mais moles :))) O que faz esta foto ser fantástica é mais uma vez a luz especial que apanhaste e o contraste com o fundo todo à sombra. A borboleta é bem bonita e ainda por cima apanhaste bem a sua sombra também o que é um belo extra. Sim, uma boa macro aqui devia ficar espectacular...

Not easy picture for take, through the fierce sun on the butterfly.

hi Jorge,
you're very good in finding beautiful details of the forest and using the available light to focus attention on these details. I like this photo a lot, it feels soft and delicate, especially the transparent wings of the buterfly. the strong diagonal of the leave creates a good natural frame, very nice work.

As cores aqui sao absolutamente interessantes. A sombra, na superfície da folha, idem.
