Photographer’s Note

Taken this afternoon at the Museu da Língua Portuguesa Portuguese Language Museum.
If you visit São Paulo, this is a must, although better for those who speak portuguese.

I was trying to shoot both the woman and the little girl against the window light when suddenly the little girl came running to me offering a candy.
A b&w version in the WS. The title is dedicated to portuguese speakers ;))

o título deveria se algo como: tó tia. Mas tó vó... :)
Gostei da foto pela rapidez em não perder a oportunidade do belo registro. Os cabelos da garota denunciam que ela vinha correndo.
A moça lá no fundo, vendo pela janela, oferece outro oportunidade de tema para a foto.

Great image. The composition is really good and the dynamism very impressive.
You captured this little girl's attitude just at the right time.
I personaly prefer the b&w version, although I find this one a little bit greyish.

Oi Isabel,
Não sei porquê, mas gostei mais da versão colorida, acho que a luminosidade está mais evidente aqui. Adorei o movimento e a carinha marota da menina! O título... em se falando de língua portuguesa... então, não é só em Minas que engolem-se sílabas!

Maybe image quality is not perfect, but I love this photo. The moment, framing, energy of the young contrasted with stillnes of an adult.

Momentos únicos esses. Gostei da foto. O local parece ser bom para fotos de contra-luz, estou imaginado aqui como ficaria essa foto sem a menina, só a com a moça na porta.

Nice capture of a pretty girl in action. Clear focus on her eyes despite the wider aperture, a subtle motion blur on her sweater, and waving hair. Excellent shot!

Very interesting moment, I have never been offered this during any shooting :) You will strike lucky.

I see you would have not enough time to tune up f/stop to get dof. But I like the spontaneity that this girl provides at this moment. Despite the sudden change of composition by this girl, you were able to keep the framing just above the arch window and done it well.

I just found this delightful shot in your gallery, which I hadn't looked at often enough recently.
You timed it superbly! It's as if her hand were reaching out of the photo. I like the crop of the b/w version. Maybe both could have a little more contrast. I really like the way she is looking right at your camera lens. You've captured her youthful enthusiasm very nicely. Well done and a good note.

A tênue iluminação ascendente (reflexo do sol no piso do lado de fora da janela em suas costas?) enriqueceu - e muito - a imagem. Combinou muito com a cena. Menina em movimento e uma mediana profundidade de campo declara o instantâneo.
