Photographer’s Note
City of Itatinga - 40 kilometers of Avaré, known as Stable of the Mountain (Mountain of Botucatu), typical city of the interior of the State of São Paulo, has today about 15.000 inhabitants!
This picture is front of Monges Cistercienses's Abbey - Our Abbey Mrs. of the Assumption of Hardehausen. Place calm, very pleasant, unhappily was one Saturday more than 18:00 hours and I didn't find anybody to try a visit to his/her interior...
Data:
"Since 1938, the Abbey of Hardehausen was being transferred, their monks, his/her Abbot, to Brazil.
On April 03, 1952, for Santa Cathedral's authority, the Abbey of Hardehausen was suppressed, in the diocese of Paderdon, Germany, existent since May 28, 1140, and transferred to the Monastery of Ours Mrs. of the Assumption of Itatinga, in the diocese of Botucatu, Brazil, so that, this Abbey of Itatinga received "all the rights and privileges that until then canonicamente, possessed the Abbey of Hardehausen and that, in general, they enjoy the Abadias Cistercienses."
On August 16, 1951, in the presence of the Exmo. and Revmo. Mr. Bishop of Botucatu D. Henrique Galland Trindade and of Exmo. Mr. Governor of the State of São Paulo, Dr. Lucas Nogueira Garcez, was thrown the fundamental stone in Itatinga-city inside the State of São Paulo.
Besides the Abbey, and of the Parish of Itatinga, the monks still took care for some times of the Parish of Mairinque, State of São Paulo.
The Abbot of Itatinga was being D. Alfonso Kiliani Heun up to 1957 (he was an Abbot since 1933) when it was transferred to Germany by Order of the General Abbot D. Sigardo Kleiner, where it is until today, as chaplain of a Convent of Irmãs Cistercienses.
It was named, or better, elect, in his/her place, D. Roberto Fluck, old prior of Itaporanga, that received the blessing the Abbatial on May 30, 1957, and in July of this in it was it chosen Abbot Presidente of the Congregação Cisterciense Brasileira."

Very nice composition and what a beautifull blue sky. You could only get a little bit more sharpness and would be perfect.
