Photographer’s Note

Its discovery dates of 1502, when navigator Américo Vespúcio the service of the Portuguese Crown travelled demarcating and baptizing the localities of the Coast of Brazil passing for waters of the canal that separates it of the continent. He was 20 of January and the saint of the day was marked, blessing the island, the canal and the neighboring city that today takes the name Is Sebastião. The occupation of lands of would sesmaria in the colonial times made to appear the town of the "Villa Bella" in 1532
