Series on the CITY of CAMPINAS - State of SÃO PAULO - The SOUTHEASTERN Region of BRAZIL - THE CITY WHERE I'VE BEEN LIVING FOR MORE THAN 28 YEARS (SINCE JANUARY/1986) - #103 !
Walking around my neighborhood is good for my legs because there are steep slopes everywhere! Here's one and another type of housing in the area!
As some have questioned me, I'd like to say that, although Brazil has become more violent in the last decades (as a result of unsustainable development, among other reasons), the fact that all the houses have walls and rails everywhere is not only a matter of protection against thieves, but a local cultural way of building houses!
After being sedentary for 3 years (before I used to go jogging almost everyday, for 1h or 1h30min/day, 10km/day) and my doctor telling me that I'm getting old (you're kidding!) and my heart is not as good as it used to be, last week I started going for a fast walk for 1 hour in the morning! For two days, I took my camera with me and took some pictures around my neighboord in the morning!

Hello Ney! I hope you've been well; I've been away from TE for a while. But we are neighbors this evening, and I'm glad as it gives me a chance to see this interesting house, built at an angle. It reminds me of San Francisco, with the steep streets and oddly shaped buildings to accommodate. Thanks!

I just discovered your gallery photo home. It is generally well imaged and well documented. In any case it changes a little pictures of the site.

Good view of this beautiful house up the slope. The iron railings rising up the slope presents nice graphism. The sloped road presents a nice diagonal into the frame. well taken and thanks for sharing.

houses built on hills always have so much more character and attraction about them and this fine home looks wonderful in this light. Looks like a bit of a fortress though with all the bars and railings. Hope you run on the pavement, as that looks to be in a better condition than the road :-).

interesting modern architecture of houses. Nice white star on top of facade. Fine palette of colors. Good presentation.
Have a nice day.

Looks like your neighborhood has taken a page right out of San Francisco! Glad I don't have to worry about parking on these streets, but as you mentioned, I'm sure this makes for a great work-out walk. :) I really like the patterns and lines within this framework. There's also some good shapes, and even a star object for good measure. A very good realization of elements, and presented in a most appealing manner. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take good care.

very nice picture documenting every day life and every day architecture. I like the way the street runs at the interesting angle and adds some quirky element to this composition. Very natural color, good light and well managed sharpness.
All the best!
