After a break because of all the end of the year's celebrations, first day back to work! I decided to take my camera with me, because the sun is going away later (as we are in summertime) and I could take some pictures while going back home! And so I did.

Unfortunately, DOWNTOWN CAMPINAS is getting uglier and uglier because of visual pollution, decaying buildings etc., as a result, for example, of bad administrations, among other reasons!

CAMPINAS is a big city, 96km northwest of the city of SÃO PAULO and part of one of the largest metropolitan areas in the state of São Paulo and in Brazil. It had 1,088,611 estimated inhabitants in 2011, being the third most populated city in the State of São Paulo and the fourteenth most populated city in Brazil.

In the WS, a different version with focus on that blue building!

The repetition of the palm trees is nice & gives this image a tropical look & feel. The people animate the scene & provide scale. Good sharpness, color & composition. A nice warm cold color contrast between the blue & orange red facades of the buildings. Tfs!

Hello Ney,
I like the architecture here, particularly that blue corner building, and the framing offered by the palm trees, both engender a very tropical feeling. Also, the light and colours. The couple chatting on the corner of the street contribute to the mood of the composition.

this shot of Campinas is full of character and I love the blue building, especially in the workshop. Wonderful palm trees and in this light it does not look as urban as your two previous images.

O retrato descreve um espaço agradável, longe de edifícios altos. Eu gosto de ver as pessoas em suas vidas diárias. A exposição à luz as cores e nitidez são muito bons. Bravo.

Hello Neyvan - The detail in this is excellent and the whole mood of the shot seems to fit in with my 'imagined' Brazil, a country I have never seen. The palm trees are lush and tropical, the beautiful blue building hints of Brazil's history. Fine work. Warm regards Rosemary

This is a much nicer side of Sao Paulo that you are showing us today. Gorgeous houses and nice palm trees, this looks like a charming corner of town to stroll or have a drink in the restaurant over there in your picture.

Hi Neyvan,

I can't quite put my finger on it as to why, but I love the mood and atmosphere of this image...I think it may be the soft sunlight on the left side of the frame highlighting the facades and cloud above. Great daily life kind of shot showcasing a beautiful street corner, the composition is wonderful! The couple having a conversation on the corner adds such a nice human element to the scene. Thanks for sharing.

lindo este recanto da sua cidade. achei legal as formas do palacete azul. apesar de belas, as palmeiras australianas atrapalharam a vista das fachadas. acho que muitas vezes o pessoal que planta árvores e cuida de jardins não pensa como será o futuro com estas plantas altas, muitas vezes atrapalhando a vista das construções. bela foto.vi umas imagens de igrejas colonias em GO com enormes palmeiras imperiais encobrindo a vista das fachadas, é o caso de uma famosa igreja em são joão del rey também..
