The Old Bridge, a photo from Rio de Janeiro, Southeast

Photographer's Note

Railway bridge over the Paraibuna river in the city Levy Gasparian(RJ), on the border of the State of Minas Gerais and the State of Rio de Janeiro. Due to vegetation height I had to pass under a barbed wire fence and nearly falling down the bank I could take this picture. An experimental photo for my new toy:Nikon D700.

Ponte ferroviária sobre o Rio Paraibuna na cidade de Levy Gasparian, na divisa do Estado de Minas Gerais e o Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Devido a altura da vegetação eu tive que passar por debaixo de uma cerca de arame farpado e quase caindo pela margem abaixo eu consegui tirar esta foto. Uma foto experimental para meu novo brinquedo: D700.

Good morning Ricardo,
this a very fine picture with beautifully given colors. I love the way they contrast with each other. Very well chosen POv, excellent perspective and depth, nice composition. I like the grass in the foreground neatly framing the picture at the bottom.

Ola, I see here another view of this interesting bridge. The river looks like liquid chocolate. Excellent composition with the diagonal line of the rails, interesting curve of the river. Superb shot.
