Photographer's Note

The "Vaquejada" is a very traditional sport in the Northeast of Brazil and also in the North of the state of Minas Gerais. In a 120 meter length by 30 meter width track, a 10 meter line is delimited for the ox to be pulled down. The cowboy must pull the ox down by riding a horse and pulling its tail with his hand. He is helped by another cowboy, who aligns the ox in the track.
