Photographer’s Note

Plaza Tiradentes in Belo Horizonte, in homage to the hero of "Inconfidência Mineira" (I hope you can see his statue).

I had hesitated to post this image here, then I thought it was correct as a representative urban scene of Brazil. And I have to say that I like it.

This awkward picture was taken quickly, to avoid the heads of hurried passers by and before one of those "circular" buses comes making my eyepiece yellow.
On the other hand, take photographs at the Plaza "Tiradentes" is a matter of tourist, extremely rare species in Belo Horizonte, consequently calling the attention with its unpredictable risk - it is difficult to know what could happen, because it is not statistically significant ;-)
Anyway, Belo Horizonte keeps the elegant and prudent discretion of the "mineiros", welcoming all those arriving, though aware of the fact they come not for its beauty - they want only go visiting the surrounding historical cities.

I've inserted a picture of the yellow "circular" bus in WS. The main circuit is "Contorno" Avenue, circulating around the central plan of the city. The BH collective transport is very effective and well planned, was inspired initially in the project of Curitiba, but underwent necessary adaptations for different situations.
I miss a system of collective transport in Acton Vale :-( There is an embryo starting to be formed... I'm checking if it will survive. Meanwhile, our cars continue to be essential.

Olá Maria,
Bela foto,a estátua do Tiradentes apesar de camuflada,confundindo com os vidros atrás, ficou bem visível.Bom o detalhe da marquise da charutaria.
Parabéns.
O Nivaldo se vier no inverno terá que trazer muitos agasalhos,pois Ouro Preto, á noite, chega a temperaturas perto de zero.
Vai notar muita diferença em Belo Horizonte,Ouro Preto, é a mesma praticamente.
OBS : Complementando, digo que a Avenida das palmeiras,é a Av. Brasil,no WS.

Olá Maria!
Gostei dessas fotos, embora eu preferi a do WS!
Ja bebi muita cerveja nesse postinho dessa foto, posto Albatroz! hehe, interessante que mesmo BH sendo a cidade com mais bares e botecos per capita ainda tem gente que vai em posto de gasolina beber cerveja! E lotam! Gostei da foto do WS, tenho vontade de tirar foto daquelas palmeiras da Av. Brasil, mas pegando mais embaixo na avenida, uma pena ter cortado parte do Ed. Niemeyer!
O dia hoje aqui em BH está bem bonito! Céu azul sem nenhuma nuvem e sem poluição nenhuma, da pra ver longe!!!

I am not sure why you had doubts about posting this image. It is well exposed and it shows us what life is all about in your home town. Sure it is a bit of a snapshot but it works in my opinion.

Confesso não sou grande apreciador de fotos de rua, principalmente quando, como esta, não mostram qualquer situação ou evento particular, mas são apenas vistas. No entanto, acho que esta está muito bem conseguida como compo. A cobertura escura faz um enquadramento engraçado.

Oi Maria, legal de vc mostrar fotos de sua terra Natal, em especifico Minas Gerais. Eu quase nao conheco a parte moderna de Minas. Estive em Ouro Preto, Diamantina, Juiz de Fora, Tiradentes, etc. Me levou em temoinho para achar Tiradentes no meio de tanta modernidade ... e finalmente o encontrei. Bom exemplo da vida urbana mineira.
