Photographer’s Note

The square of the Saint Benedict church in Itaunas, a district of Conceição da Barra, an interesting place, full of beautiful beaches in the top border of Espirito Santo State.

Itaunas is the "Forró" capital of Espirito Santo State. "Forró" is a Northeastern Brazilian kind of music/dance.

A theory of the origin of the term "Forró" is that is a derivative of the English expression "for all". English engineers on the Great Western Railroad would throw balls on weekends and classify them as either only for railroad personnel or for the general populace ("for all").

Famosa Itaúnas... pelo menos tem ficado ultimamente... muita gente tá indo prá lá pra aproveitar as dunas, as praias e especialmente os flertes do forró local!
Sua foto está linda... com uma excelente e bela composição, unindo a natureza, as construções típicas e a vida cotidiana de forma magnífica!
Outras qualidades técnicas presentes, como de costume em suas obras!

Hello Paulo,

You placed the church excellent to the left, between the green trees.
In foreground the biker in full speed.
Nice perspective and depth, the road leads us very well along the poles.
Very nice picture certainly sharpness and clarity.
Lovely details of the facade.

A tranquilidade da terra é bem patente nesta bonita imagem. Não se vê um carro e nem a estrada é asfaltada. Gosto muito das cores suaves, especialmente na igreja. A perspectiva é boa e com muito espaço à frente do ciclista. Muito bem.

a igreja e sua arquitetura humilde e graciosa estão magnificamente colocados aqui, muito boa a luz e as cores, o que faz a compo mais graciosa é o ciclista, que equilibra a imagem e adiciona vida.

Hello Paulo,

Still of very beautiful colors on this photograph, I like much and it is very pleasant with the eye. For my part I will have tallied a little broader to have the top of the tree and the bottom of the aft wheel of the cyclist… but it is a detail because the church is well highlighted in this landscape. I think that the weather must be very hot, because I see many bottles of sodas in the caddy of his bicycle !!! Well done Paulo.

Uma foto curiosa... Uma igreja peculiar, tanto na arquitectura como na pintura e altura aparente, um ciclista bem colorido e carregado a passar em 1º plano... E não é que até resulta?
Deve ser uma ilusão causada pela perspectiva, mas a igreja parece um brinquedo pouco mais alto que o ciclista.

aí está sua característica mais marcante. As coisas simples e bonitas do nosso interior. Cito: a torre singela da igreja, a bicicleta de entrega de mecardorias das "vendas" das pequenas cidades e vilarejos - e aqui carregada de coca-cola :) -, o cachorro parado e olhando para os lados.
