TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE CITY OF CURITIBA, CLICK
HERE !!!
BOSQUE POLONÊS OU BOSQUE DO PAPA !
POLISH PARK or POPE'S PARK !
CURITIBA is the capital city of the STATE OF PARANÁ and its largest one! It's in the EASTERN part of the state, pretty close to the sea (THE SOUTHERN ATLANTIC OCEAN), but almost 900 meters above sea level (UP IN THE PLATEAU OF THE SEA MOUNTAIN RANGE/SERRA DO MAR)! It's one of the coldest cities in Brazil (certainly the coldest large one, the coldest capital city!).
It's grown a lot in the last decades and fortunately it has grown better than the other brazilian cities, specially with regards to its urbanistical planning!
Here, in this picture, one can see one of its main touristical attractions: THE POLISH PARK or THE POPE'S PARK !
Its name was given as a HOMMAGE TO THE POLISH IMMIGRANTESin the city (and in the State of Paraná), one of the several people that moved to that city some decades ago! It's also known as THE POPE'S PARK because of the visit of the POPE (the polish one, JOHN PAUL II) some years ago!
A TOUR BUS passes by, every half hour, all the main touristical attractions of the city!

Salut Neyvan,
Emilius

Hello Neyvan.
Thanks for this nice picture for my eye. This is what you show in your picture is a model of a wooden house of Polish highlanders. Of course, this model home was built in Poland a hundred years ago and earlier. The outer walls of thick wooden beams. Similarly, internal walls were built, but with a thinner logs. The roof was covered with wooden shingles. roofs have a sharp profile, and have often been broken twice. This design protects the roof against the large volume of snow, which falls in the Polish mountains. Pope John Paul II, was born in Wadowice near Krakow. The Great Man had a soul of a true mountain man, like my grandfather and great grandfather. Pope was born near Krakow, like my ancestors, but he and my grandparents loved mountains. For curiosity, I will say that my father was born in the same year as John Paul II and also lived near Krakow.
Again, many thanks for this beautiful picture!
Greetings from Mosina,
Jurek

Olá Neyvan
Um lugar delicioso. Adorei os canteiros no primeiro plano e a casinha que parece saída de um livro de contos de fadas. Belíssima foto.
Abração e uma proveitosa semana prá você.

Hi Neyvan,
I was shocked to see an original Polish house on the picture from Brasil.
Very unusual place for architecture like this. :)
Keep up the good job!

This building does indeed have a European feel to it. The familiar temperate flowers add to that feel. Very nice composition. Seems like an interesting place.
Sincerely,

jorge
