Photographer’s Note

Here I am showing another pov of this beautiful and small cathedral. When I was visiting this town the weather was very bad and after a month some areas at northern-seashore and Itajaí-valley were hit by a terrible flood and, at this week, another area I visited, located in the southern-seashore, was hit for another flood. Anyway people from that state is very strong, they faced many troubles like this in the past and won. Despite these tragedies this state is one of the best places to live in Brazil.

Aqui mostro um ponto de vista diferente da pequena e bela catedral. Quando eu estava visitando a cidade o tempo estava fechado e muito feio, isto continuou por semanas e cerca de um mês após minha visita a região do vale do Itajaí foi duramente afedada por enchentes e deslizamentos causados por chuvas torrenciais; não bastasse isso, esta semana foi a costa sul, visitada por mim nesta viagem, a mais afetada por enchentes. Apesar de tudo isto o povo catarinense já enfrentou e venceu tragédias semelhantes. Com tudo isto é ainda um dos melhores lugares para se viver no Brasil.

Très belle cette cathédrale avec ses couleurs qui s'accordent parfaitement avec le bleu du premier plan.

Hello Jorge ,
A very nice cathedral , with superb colors , despite of the grey sky . But why haven't you cropped the roadsign in the low part at the left ?

Happy 2009. this is a beautiful shot of the church even when the weather is not ideal. I love the color of the church, contrast very well against this grey sky. Good composition and good sharpness and clarity. Excellent work. Hugs.

Gostei mais dessa talvez por causa do pov mostrando também a interessante arquitetura das casas coloridas. Um dia ainda vou conhecer Santa Catarina.

Olá Jorge, boa escolha do ângulo numa interessante combinação de arquitecturas e cores. Gosto do resultado gráfico incluindo o sinal vermelho no canto. Aquele canto lá em cima mais escuro é que ficou um pouco estranho. As cruzes de cor escura fazem um belo remate das torres contra o céu esbranquiçado.

Here the light but eye catching contrast of orange, white and gray caught my eye.Very beautiful. You've framed it with perfection.

I like the strong diagonal, leading my eyes to the church!
Interesting colour palette and fine details, in particular the church is well reproduced...
