This photo was taken in rather large Brazilian Steakhouse (a churrascaria) in Porto Alegre (southeastern Brazil). Meet waiters (passadores) come to each table with knives and a skewer, on which are speared various kinds of meat like beef, pork, lamb, chicken, duck, ham, sausages, fish and/or any other sort of local cut of meat. In most parts of Brazil, the meet is roasted with charcoal. In the south of Brazil, however, mostly close to the borders of Argentina and Uruguay (also in Porto Alegre) embers of wood are also used.

Interesting document and very good light management.
I like the atmosphere of the place and the waiter at left that cuts the meat.

I can imagine the tumolt of the many diners there, Miro.
People on picture, however, seem to be busy chattering rather than eating - a social event along with some food... also not many women around.
Nice taken indoor's, interesting subjet.

a good note & a good photo. I am sure that you have good memories of this place.We have at least 5 Brazilian churrasquerias here in Sydney... so I am familiar with the routine and always regret eating too much.
