Photographer’s Note

The beautiful, 130m high Caracol waterfall is very close to the touristic center of Canela/Gramado, and therefore frequently visited. Nevertheless this picturesque and amazingly beautiful waterfall is well worth a visit especially when you arrive in the early morning before the tourist buses come.

Hi Karsten,
I must admit this is the first time I see anything like this. Well, it is an obvious rainbow effect, but here it is simply HUGE! The water seems painted.

i give ditto to michal...neither have i seen anything like this...it looks like the water is washing away the colors of the nature here!! this is a prize catch u had...good shot, and TFS

Hallo Karsten,
ein wunderschönes Farbenspiel. Und auch ein schönes Experimentierfeld, um Belichtungsdauern auszutesten. Ich denke mit der 250stel ist es optimal, mich würde aber auch z.B. 1/40 interessieren, wie da der Seideneffekt aussieht.
