This image shows the same islets you saw 2 days ago, in that photo we were in the same level of the waters, here we have a higher view and all of them are visible. In the foreground you can see a plague of pastures called Rabo-de-Burro (donkey’s tail). That mountain is the foreground is the same we had crossed, it is located at side of that forestall reservation that you can see at right of it. You can see that around the islets the level of the waters is low while some meters ahead the waters are deep and dangerous. Ivaí river goes from south to north and few kilometers ahead of this place it turns to another direction, facing the west and ending its journey in Paraná river, hundreds of kilometers ahead.

Esta foto mostra as mesmas ilhotas já vistas dois dias atrás, a diferença é que naquela foto eu estava no nível do rio e aqui estamos num ponto de vista mais alto, que permite ver as ilhotas todas. No primeiro plano vemos capim Rabo-de-Burro, uma planta invasora de pastagens. Podemos ver ao longe a montanha onde estávamos antes de entrar na reserva de floresta, que aparece mais ao lado direito. Podem observar que ao redor das ilhas o nível da água é bem baixo, mais adiante as águas são mais profundas e perigosas. O Ivaí tem seu curso inicial no sentido sul para norte, porém, próximo deste ponto, ele toma o rumo do oeste e segue nesta direção centenas de quilômetros antes de encontrar o Rio Paraná.
