A crow on the cross waiting for the death of something. I watched this animal for hours. It did not move. Shot on Joaquim Hill, Ilha do Mel.

this is a very nice minimalist photo,well in agreement with the mood of the moment on TE, where everyone thinks that this site will die.The silhouette of the bird is very sharp,even if it's black we can guess much details,and this is very well framed!I just hope that everything is OK for you,because you are are just come back to say that you will stop to post,and this ,with a sad picture!

Hello Carlos,

A very artistic composition! You've captured the crow perfectly and in b&w it is especially dramatic. In some images, color can detract, and this is one such photo. The image brings to mind Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven."

gostei muito do POV com a cruz em diagonal, gostei do ótimo momento com a ave em uma das hastes e, ainda da opção pelo P&B que deixou a foto ainda mais dramática.

Hello Carlos,

The strong light gives a good back-light to this rather strange scene with this treatment in black and white. The corbel has an odd form. Lugubrious environment but a good management of this symbolic image. Well done Carlos.

Desculpe a demora do post, mas andava "em outras" .. a sua foto é repleta de simbolismo, e o grafismo apresentado nela reforça este aspecto, só que é um simbolismo direto que não deixa dúvidas sobre aquilo que vemos. Inclusive, gostaria de salientar o aspecto medievo que a captura nos transmite. A opção em P&B, penso que foi a solução adequada para a proposta da tomada. É uma imagem forte que, também, nos remete às imagens de Saura, mas que gostei. Abraço, Consuelo

The black and white and the main elements of the picture gives a dramatic atmosphere. The cross is not centered and it is right like that. So the point of view is excellent and the vertical format fits well.
A different shot from the ones you usually post.

Esta foto (e nota) está mesmo "de morte"!!! Não sei o que dá mais impacto, se a foto ou se a nota. O pessoal até ficou preocupado... eu também. Mas quero crer que foi para manifestar o descontentamento com os acontecimentos no site, né?
Mas como me disse o Francisco (xuaxo), a gente não pode se deixar envolver tanto e, também, não publicar imagens passíveis de cobiça - achei uma boa estratégia. E continuar aprendendo e convivendo.
