Photographer's Note

Caraguatá is a kind of bromeliad native of Atlantic forest, it lives in the soil and it is very wide. Its leaves get water from the rain keeping it inside, being used by many animals. Here we can see the plant, that is green, preparing it bunch of flowers that would appear in the central part of the plant some weeks after.

O caraguatá é uma espécie de bromélia nativa da mata atlântica, vive no solo e é bem larga. Suas folhas captam a água das chuvas e a conserva para uso da planta e de vários animais.
Vemos aqui a planta, que é verde, se preparando para gerar o cacho de flores que iria despontar no seu centro dali algumas semanas.
