Photographer’s Note

Whe are always passing through some gates of our lifes. There are gates from the childhood to the youth and to the maturity, many of them, year after year, some importants, some difficults, some greaters and some smallers.

We also have some nice gates here in TE and I see that I passed maybe through some of them: the first when I subscribe myself to parcicipate to this wonderful community. It was one year ago... wow! The time goes fast! Another one was maybe my 100th picture! I thought at that time: "Wow! A 100 pictures! There was another gate, the golden gate, when I sold one picture! Wow! Money! Double pleasure!

This time I am looking a little bit ahead and I can see the next gate, because this is today my 199th post. Well, 200 could be nothing for many of my fellows here, but I think that it is not easy to select 200 nice pictures to post here, because everyday we see lots of great captures from our friends and we want to keep the quality at least nearby their nice works.

So, I am happy to see this gate ahead, and I would like to say thanks for all my TE friends, because all of your critiques encourage me day after day to post more and more, always learning from you!

Beside the gate to the 200th post on my next picture, I think I must celebrate my first year posting to TE! It was a good year to learn A LOT and to make MANY really nice friends.
I am happy to play with you fellows! Thank you! Let´s find any nice picture to post to my 200th at next.

The fence makes great lead-in lines!
Very well composed image, nicely balanced...
Good colours and fine details, the side lighting gives life to the place...
Attractive sky with the most pleasant fluffy clouds!

Looks like the fence has been there a while. I like the colors and POV. Well done. One thing, did you use a poloriser? If not it would really help the sky.

Congratulations on 1 year at TE! First of all, I like the sense of colour in this, which is very vivid and saturated. The shot is well balanced too, with the gate on one side and the rock on the other side. Excellent work, and I hope we see at least 199 more!

I don't normally pick the first image I see but the thumbnail for this looked so inviting. A very atmospheric image. The fence leads the eye very nicely in from the right to the gate and the superb view beyond. Perfect pov, good light & colour. Well seen. ps. I'm looking forward to your 200th post.

Zeca, a 199 é muito boa, como praticamente todas as outras 198 rs! A cerca e a porteira dão limite e profundidade; o relevo ao fundo dá idéia de imensidão e as rochas à direita Têm a sua estrutura (sedimentar) bem definida! Uma foto e tanto, parabéns! Abraço! Miguel.

Olá Zeca, que foto incrível. Tão bem equilibrada com tons de azul e verde belos. Gosto do POV utilizado que levam nossos olhos para o portão e do portão para a imensidão do vale de o céu.

Congratulations for your coming 200th.
As you say,it is not easy to select a worthy picture as we become more and more selective,looking for our best ones,just like this picture,a closed gate that you are going to open very soon.
The light is doing a good job of enlivening the well done composition.

Again very good light on those green colours, this is becoming a kind of trademark in your pictures. The poles with barbwire lead us straight to the fence.

Sabes, justo estoy leyendo unos libros de Castaneda, y este es el paisaje que me imagino cada vez que se van a los cerros en Mexico!
