Photographer's Note
Araucaria tree (araucaria augustifolia) is the most important tree in the higher and coldest areas in southern Brazil, the first description of it was done by Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca in the 16th century when he saw these trees first time while crossing the highlands of Pitanga, he was using a big Indian road that went to Peru. He wrote in his diary about monkeys in the top of araucárias throwing balls of its seeds to the ground while savage pigs were in the base of the trees eating them too. In the next days I will show an image done by this expedition at side of the famous Indian way (Road of Peabirú).

Good choice for a POV here, Juan, looking straight up at this fascinating tree. Given the high sun, this enhances the shadow and texture of the bark well while fully expressing the height and wide canopy. The branches are a wonderful detail, looking almost spider-like from this angle. Thanks!

Hi Jorge
You are using the old TE version; impossible to see the small pic
Very good vertical perspective of this old tree.
Well done

Hi Jorge,
This amazing tree seems to point towards a point of light in the sky. The moon I guess.
If so, like if mother nature, exhausted and with no more hope in the human race, seeks to send a bio organic Noah's Ark to start again and roll the dice elsewhere.
Great shot with an outstanding POV. TFS.
All the best
Hicham.

Lembro-me bem de ver várias destas no Paraná, bom trabalho!
