Ivaí river has an Indian name (Guarany language), anyway during the last 4 centuries it was being modify by Portuguese and Spaniards until to reach the form it has nowadays. Probably the meaning of the name is: river of the fruits (ABA-HY) but it can be river of canoes (UBA-HY) (because there is a reference to a native tree named Ubá, used to build canoes).
I guess you are tired of the view of this river and this is my last post from it. Here we can see the place where I was in my last post, watching in this direction.
In the far background you can see some hills covered with forest, it is the largest reservation of native trees in my region, that lose 99 percent of its native forest.

O rio Ivaí possui um nome de origem Guarani, contudo durante os últimos 4 séculos ele foi sendo modificado pelos portugueses e espanhóis até alcançar a sua atual grafia. Provavelmente ele signifique rio das frutas (ABA-HY)ou quem sabe sua origem possa ter sido rio das canoas (UBA-HY) já que nas suas margens existiam muitas árvores ubá, usadas para fazer canoas.
Imagino que todos vocês já estejam cansados de fotos deste rio, esta é a minha última postagem dele. Daqui podem ver o ponto onde eu estava quando tirei a última foto, olhando nesta direção.
Bem ao fundo podem ver umas colinas cobertas de mata, esta é a maior reserva de mata nativa da minha região que perdeu 99 porcento de sua mata original.
