While crossing a trail at side of a beach of Ivaí river I discovered this group of caterpillars trying to keep the predators far, if you move them you will feel a bad smell. The soil of my region is very red and here we can see the sand brought by the river from the higher areas where the river begins its travel to west.

Enquanto cruzávamos uma trilha ao lado de uma praia do rio Ivaí, nos deparamos com este grupo de lagartas que tentava se proteger dos predadores. Caso você tente mecher nelas sentirá um odor nojento. O solo de minha região é bem vermelho, mas aqui temos as areias trazidas pelo rio que nasce nas terras altas do centro sul do Paraná e segue para o oeste.

Oh my...This really has wonderful contrasts between the green, black and the background. Great shapes made by the leaves and the caterpillars. Nicely captured.

Olá Jorge, já havia visto dessas lagartas no Rio de Janeiro, a primeira vez achei a coisa mais estranha e tenho uma foto em algum lugar vou ver se encontro.
Boa foto com ótimos detalhes e nitidez.

Tenho um verdadeiro horror de tudo que rasteja. Lagartas, então, são um nojo. Mas a foto está interessante, com esse contraste do negro com o tom terroso.
