SHIPWRECK IN IVAÍ RIVER, a photo from Parana, South

Photographer's Note

Here I, and the other walkers, were crossing trails bordering the beaches of Ivaí river. This is a view of the river before the rapids I showed in the last posts. Ivaí river is a mix of peacefull and violent waters, anyway these calm waters used to be more dangerous.This river killed many people.

Neste ponto eu e os outros caminhantes estávamos caminhando por trilhas ao lado das praias do Ivaí. Esta é uma vista do rio pouco antes dos saltos que mostrei nas últimas postagens.O Ivaí é uma mescla de trechos de águas calmas e outros turbulentos, no entanto estes trechos de calmaria costumam ser os mais perigosos. Este rio já matou muita gente.

Jorge,
After all of the photos of Ivaí river, I went online to locate it. I like the contrast of the intense blue in the foreground with the lighter blue in the background. It gives the photo a lot of depth. Nicely done.

This is certainly a 'Wao' photograph. The branches dipping lightly into the deep blue water with even darker reflections in the foreground is beautiful. The small canoe with water over it impresses on the viewer a mood of silent contemplation.
As our vision progresses towards the top - the colour of the river changes. The greenery in te horizon closes our view of the river. The sky - thereafter has the same colour as the river in reverse order.
Beautiful composition and very moody.

Well seen with an interesting and eye-catching subject, Jorge. The vertical format works perfectly here, emphasizing the depth of the shot, which adds to the sense of the buried memory of this boat.
