Salvador is one of the most beautiful and visited cities of Brazil.
Beaches, historic sites, which refer to the beginning of Brazilian colonization, lots of music, typical food, religion, poultry, besides having the largest carnival in the world, Salvador is a "must see" wonderful place and features like the Lacerda Elevator (lift),the Lighthouse Bar, the Market Model, the Pelourinho and Church of Senhor do Bonfim are ashtonishing icons..
The mixture of races, creeds and colors formed a unique culture in Salvador, which is present in all parts of the city throughout the year and can be appreciated in its various manifestations, such as capoeira, candonblé ,the percussion, the dances and carnival.
Salvador is among the sunniest cities in the world which yo can realize with this view from a escuna in All Saints Bay.

I can feel the movement of the current and wave of the passing ferry. A really good time for photo with this warm sunset light painted the whole landscape in golden tone. The sea water is rich with indigo blue and the wave give sense of motion and energy. Excellent POV using the ferry as an anchor point and leading the viewers in to the scene. Very good quality photo.

Among the sunniest cities in the world ... That sounds very interesting!
Here the evening sun creates beautiful warm tones on the buildings and even on the people in the boat.
These warm colours make a good contrast with the darker blue waves.
I guess you were sailing on another boat.
Best regards, Paul

Nice picture, Rui. I like the afternoon light.
When I read the title I remembered the song "Salvador" by Sadao Watanabe, a Japanese jazz performer.

A nice view of the city with the boat well placed so as to not block any significant portion of the skyline. The texture of the choppy blue ocean is also well captured with an appropriate exposure length. Very good composition and balance as well.
