O VELHO CHICO - O RIO SÃO FRANCISCO VISTO DO CÉU - "THE OL' CHICO - THE SÃO FRANCISCO RIVER SEEN FROM THE SKY - Traveling from SÃO PAULO/SP to JOÃO PESSOA/PB, I could, as usual, identify many geographical places down there, from the small window of the airplane. Here's the São Francisco River in the border of the States of SERGIPE and ALAGOAS, pretty close to its mouth! On my flight back home, we flew over the coast and could see its mouth. No pictures though, my window was on the wing of the plane... shooooot!!

2,830km long, the SÃO FRANCISCO RIVER starts in the State of MINAS GERAIS, in the CANASTRA Mountain Range, and it ends in the ATLANTIC OCEAN, right in the border of the States of SERGIPE and ALAGOAS. See map here !

The plane was already flying over the State of Alagoas and the municipality is probably PÃO DE AÇÚCAR or PIRANHAS!

Ele aqui já está bem largo, né? Eu ía muito para Uberlândia e no caminho cruzava com ele perto da nascente, ainda bem pequenininho. Esse rio tem a cara do Brasil, muito boa fotografia.

Ha, ha, Neyvan, I thought an angel had taken this!
Even from on high, the composition, with the river travelling in a diagonal, is good.
The clouds do madd so much to the shot, emphasising that this is an aspect we rarely share!

linda vista aérea, as sombras da snuvens criam buracos azuis bem legais como arte abstrata, o rio ao centro e as nuvens em si completam o belo conjunto, legal

Olá Neyvan,

essas fotos aéreas parecem fazer o seu gosto, né? A verdade é que nos fornece uma visão totalmente diferente da que estamos acostumados. Existe sempre uma certa dificuldade a respeito. Primeiro porque é difícil encontrar um ângulo que agrade, já que não é possível ficar trocando de lugar. Segundo é a luz que parece ser mais difícil de manejar lá de cima. Você acertou em cheio na composição. O Velho Chico está muito bem posicionado no enquadramento vertical e as nuvens completam a imagem de forma elegante. Fiz alguns ajustes nas cores da luz e postei no ws. Espero que goste. Ótimo trabalho!

Olá Neyvan,

Very attractive blue colors on the Rio São Francisco with amazing textures of landscape. Especially I liked also fantastic plays with shadows of cotton clouds on earth. Amazing view, have a nice weekend.

beleza de foto essa, também tenho uma parecida, (Foto), foi uma de minhas primeiras imagens no TE. Eu ia fazer um WS aqui, mas vi que o Carlos ja fez tudo que eu ia fazer, fica pra próxima, hehe. Belo trabalho seu.

A superb aerial shot, with the blue ribbon of the São Francisco River, adding linear perspective, & lead in lines. Nice repetition of the fluffy white clouds, too, & a great high pov. Tfs!

Já crusei o rio de balsa quando fui para Alagoas em 2004.
Bela tomada aérea, espero que ele se mantenha cheio por longos anos e não seque como as vezes parece que vai acontecer.

O.K. Ney, now that we two are alone, tell me your secret...are you the pilot of the plane or a flight assistant?, if not I'm not able to understand how the hell can you get such fantastic aerial shots, mmmmmhhh?. I promise you I won't tell it to nobody (I have fingers crossed :P)
