Macapá is the capital of the state of Amapá in Brazil on the Amazon River
The equator is an imaginary circle drawn around a planet (or other astronomical object) at a distance halfway between the poles. The equator divides the planet into a Northern Hemisphere and a Southern Hemisphere. The latitude of the equator is, by definition, 0°.

A simetria nessa foto tem um sentido bem forte. Achei a foto muito bem planejada. Realmente é um lugar pouco falado, mas deve ser bem interessante. Tem também o estádio com a linha do Equador dividindo o campo no meio.

The symetric composition is quite good and fits a lot your subject. Light, however, is not. Everything is so flat, needs more contrast, maybe due to cloudy wheater. Maybe in a sunny day, at late afternoon, you could get better light.

And I think this picture follows quite well TE's filosophy: show the world through photography. Even living in Brazil (though +-3000Km from this place), I never heard about this monument before. Well done.

Interessante essa foto! Gostaria de conhecer esse lugar, tem esse campo de futebol que o alexandre está falando também, que a linha central do campo é a linha do equador! Deve ser interessante também!
