Photographer’s Note

One of typical Amazon boat is resting at Amazon pier of Macapá. It's ready to navigate into Amazon lands.

Boats are the only means of locomotion on the Amazon forest.

The "fe em deus" makes the connection between Macapá and Afuá, a little town on Amazon river margin. (R$ 25.00 fee ~~ 10USD).

UPDATE : Macapá located at wide mouth of Amazon River at Atlantic Ocean. The view is really, really huge because the width of Amazon River's mouth is some 330 kilometres (210 mi) wide. You may want to read more information at Wikipedia...

Incredible ,the brown water.....

These rivers so wide that look like a sea are really amazing (or Amazon!!!) And also in Brasil you found such a interesting sky that look like the end of the world is arriving!
Beautful cromatic contrast between the brownish water and the blue sky. The boat and the pier are lovely focal points.
Great sense of space. Very enjoyable.

A very interesting and very nice post. I like the composition very well balanced with the boat well located in the image and a great prospect on the left. The color of the Amazon river is astnonishing and very well collected.

We must have faith in God not to destroy the lung gradually in the world: the Amazon.

Your photo recreates an interesting point of view, with a large depth of field, which is lost in the horizon balanced. The blue sky, white radiates with its textures, lots of warmth.

That's a very good, interesting and beautiful picture!
The sky is fantastic! The color of the river is a great contrast with the blue and white up above! The viewpoint was very well chosen and the composition very well elaborated, with all the elements perfectly placed in the frame!
Sharpness, exposure and depth of field are outstanding!

The kind of color tone and view which is familiar to me. The Rajang River in Borneo also looks like this at widest part of more than 1km.

Very interesting view of the Amazon with the boat and blue sky from your CPL effect, especially the water in chocolate flavor :)

With a sky like that, “Fé em Deus” is just a small part of a good journey through the Amazon River. The colour contrast is excellent but I think the vignetting is a bit too obvious.

what a sky! love it, especially in combination with the brown waters of the Amazon, this is something I wish to see myself. wide angle works really well here, I like a lot how it exaggerates the shape of the boat and adds a sense of depth. great shot, I like it a lot.

Sorry I have not been on TE lately, but it has been nice catching up in your gallery. This is another wonderful sky/sea scape with great use of the wide angle to create a sense of broad space. The rich color of the river is complimented well by the blue and white of the sky. Very nice work.

belle photo de ce bateau amarré derrière ce ponton, bien protègé du courant du fleuve amazone.
Bien remuée cette eau portent les alluvions en grande quantités, le pourquoi de cette couleur chargée en brun.

This is a kind of mix of the best of the styles of parbo and paura. You could call it a paurbada, what do you think? :D
I notice the great sense of space, the brown waters and the great skies that are your trademark. And, of course, there is that charming boat that reminisces the older boats that cross the Tejo river in Lisboa.

Great colors. The chocolate brown of the waters was fantastic, and so was the sky. The boat was well placed, not distracting us from the natural aspects.
