Road to "Bonito" Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is the road to "Bonito" town, which means "Beautiful" in portuguese, located on the state of "Mato Grosso do Sul", Brazil.

This is a re-post picture.
I agree with everybody regarding the quality of the original scanned one. You know that kind of multi-use stuff (printer, scanner and fax)? I think that was the major problem plus my poor technique in photoshop. But fortunately, I have found the original files of the scanned negative film in a forgotten box in my room.
I don't know if I could do the best, but for sure It's my best. I wouldn't accept viewers saying this one is worse than the first one but I still accept negative critiques...please do not hesitate.

ficou espetacular...
dei uma olhada no original e parece, ou melhor, é outra foto.
ótimas cores, DOF, nitidez mas o que impressiona é o POV perfeito e a estrada que divide a foto na parte de baixo e o ceú fantasticamente azul que rege a metade superior, perfeita composição

Oi Carlos,

Nao sei exatamente o que fez mas a foto passou de algo comum a extraordinario depois do PP. A qualidade melhorou muito. O amarelo vivo da faixa da estrada contrastando com o escuro do asfalto ficou excelente, assim como o intenso azul do ceu e o verde da paisagem. Preciso a aprender a fazer PP como os seus, o resultado e realmente maravilhoso. E impressionante como a estrada nesta regiao e plana, uma reta ao infinito, quando viajava com meu pai de Campo Grande p Minas a gente tinha que ficar de olho nele p ele nao dormir no volante...

Hahaha, it's fár better than the first one!! Are you even sure that we are talking about the same road? ;-) This road is Bonito!!
Thanks for keeping working with 35mm. It does have something special to it. I saw you are going digital as well. Don't let it hold you back to take your 35mm with you!
My only 35mm of decent quality was point and shoot. But still, there are some amazing pictures taken with that old Epoca.

Excellent tones and perspective. I love the way the road vanishes as far as the eye can see. I also like the vibrant colours of the yellow on the road and the blue in the sky.

Excellent take ... gives me the feeling of taking off !!!! ... the tilt bothers me a bit and I would have considered rotating the photo.

Definitely much better than the first one, and I'll add it seems difficult to me to make it any better. I love the centered horizon line in this kind of scenery, very much road movie style, with an endless road in the middle of nowhere.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I look at this photo is lost highway movie :) This one looks much better so I think it was a good idea to RP it. Very bright and vivid colors and sharpness is here definitely better.

WOW,what an amazing depth.The symetry is nice and your POV excellent and I think not dangerous with this traffic.Nice bright colors and good contrast.The traffic sign nearly in the center is a good detail.

Está muito boessa essa versão Carlos. O céu mais azul e o asfalto dando um belo contraste, acenduando o amarelo da faixa.
Essa ficou uma excelente foto.

Is this a Superia? Hard to believe. It looks like a Velvia man, so deep and intens colours...wonderful. That deep blue and those yellow lines from perfect contrast, and road view is a classic one, but still good for a decent compsoition...great shot..!!!

It is a pleasure to discover your gallery, you have some truly wonderful images. Not only is it a great improvement over the original, but its a very craftily composed image using the yellow marker line. I hope there isn't much traffic since you were standing right in the middle.

I like this one Carlos. Top use of the simple details compowise. Still very effectful by the choice of the low pov. Incredible depth in the setting.

Hi Carlos - simple but nice, the symmetry works well, maybe there is too much empty sky, the only thing I can suggest is a more panoramic crop, the image quality is an infinite improvement over the original one.

Today I found this photo in your gallery. Picture have very interesting composition, contrast between dark, almost black road and clear blue sky is excellent. I like ideal symmetry of lines on road which leads sight far after horizon.

Beautiful black tape you took Carlos. This version is awesome compared to your earlier slide scan. Blue sky helped you a bunch to take this shot. keeping half sky in the picture is good. TFS

Hello of Carlo. This road seems endless and aimlessly. But who drives on it comes to Bonito in the State of Matto Grosso. An area on the map that most might be strange. The photo is therefore fascinating perhaps straight. There is the thoughts and the fantasy area. The photo is absolutely outstanding composed.
