Photographer's Note
Flagrant the Indian mother breastfeeding her child, adorned with paintings and ornaments typical of his tribe.
The real owners of Brazil, a country of many races.
These Indians are members of the Xavante tribe, whose population at the present time is about 10 000 individuals. Their language is the aquem and call themselves A'wê Uptabi, which means "real people. " They paint themselves with genipap coal and annatto, draw eyebrows and eyelashes, use strings on the wrists and legs and tie ceremonial cotton. The haircut and the ornaments and paintings are markers of difference of the Xavante in relation to others, transmitted through the corners by the ancestors and shared with all the people of the village.

Wow, what a striking scene, Marcela, even when uploaded in a rather small size. Wonderful saturation of colours, superb pose. I only wish the note contained some more information about this particular tribe and location.
Cheers & tfs.

hello Marcela
What a stunning, strong and striking image. The absolute carefree pose of the young mother, and the adoring gaze from child to Mother too. A lovely piece of life from somewhere very far from here, in every sense.
More notes about the circumstances here, or about the people, would be nice too..
best wishes

Very good photograph quite striking. Very informative note. The thing I found the most highlighting was the mothers expressions.

Hi Marcella
The colours are beautifull and enhance the breastfeeding and her gesture.
A really great doubleportrait I would have liked to be the author.
Cheers
