Photographer's Note

The National Museum Honestino Guimarães is a museum located in the Esplanada dos Ministerios, city of Brasilia, Brazil whose name was given in memory of Honestino Guimarães.

The museum has the form of a dome and the Biblioteca Nacional Leonel de Moura Brizola, were designed by architect Brazilian Oscar Niemeyer and was inaugurated on December 15 of 2006, the day on which the architect celebrated their 99 years of age.

The museum has an area of 14.5 square meters and was inaugurated with an exhibition on the work of Niemeyer: Niemeyer & Niemeyer and Brazil - World Heritage Site.

The museum and library formed the Cultural Complex of the Republic John Herculino.
