[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shapely belltower is a common sight at churches on Bolivia's altiplano. In this photo, the sunset bathes the worn whitewash in pink, and highlights the passage of time on the texture. The lone volcano, Sajama, looms directly behind the photographer. High on the volcanic plain near Chile's border, the nighttime temperatures drop quickly, and the silence is supernatural.
