[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Arriving from San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, going with a 4x4 jeep through the altiplano (plains and mountains above 3500 m) is an incredible experience and a must-do on all Bolivian visits, whether you leave on the trip from San Pedro, Tarija or Uyuni. Going from San Pedro, our first sight of a Bolivian town was at Alota, which for sure was very charming and completely different to anything I had seen. The houses were made of mudbrick, the streets of earth and dust and not a soul in sight. You wonder what the people who live here, do?
Alot also has a very cute little plaza and a pretty church, where we lazed around, enjoying the hot sun at an altitude of 3786 m above sea level.
