Dos nenes contemplen el llac Titicaca a la part nord de l'illa del Sol. Des que són petites, porten aquestes trenes que adornen amb uns complements de llana d'alpaca, donant la sensació encara més gran d'uns cabells llarguissims. El barret i les faldilles també les portaran fins a l'últim moment de la seva vida.

Two children contemplate the Titicaca lake. The braids adorned with alpaca wool spirals, accompanied them until the end by their life, as well as the superposed skirts and the peculiar hat. An adult woman, in her oldness, can get to dress but eight skirts simultaneously.
