Photographer’s Note
Late afternoon near lovely Villa Tunari.
Weather was not so good but the first ridges of the Andes could be seen. This is where the headwaters of the Amazon meet the mighty Andes.
The Andes are a great mountain system or cordillera that forms the western fringe of South America, extending through some 67° of latitude and the republics of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. It is the longest mountain range in the world, 8,000 km, and its peaks exceed 3,600 m in height for half that length. It has an average breadth of 241 km.
The Amazon is the greatest river in the world by so many measures; the volume of water it carries to the sea (approximately 20% of all the freshwater discharge into the oceans), the area of land that drains into it, and its length and width. It is one of the longest rivers in the world and, depending upon who you talk to, is anywhere between 6,259km and 6,712km long.

Hi Shir, that is wonderful! I have been close to this area abut two years ago and you remind me with this post a wonderful period of my life. Your composition in layers is great and that single horizontal cloud element coming in gives the perfect special element to make it a wonderful photography.

Hello,
Très belle photo de cette codillère. Au milieu du vert il y a un arbre un peu rouge-orangé, magnifique.
Bravo et belle soirée.

Great shot! Love the colors, the green trees with the red spot in it and the blue background.
Framing can be improved, I think, I added a workshop. Hope you find it useful

Hello, Shir--
Nice work here, the contrast between the tropical foreground and the mountain background is nice. Something feels a little bit off in the color balance, i think that it's skewed a little too heavily toward the cool end of the spectrum. The foreground "beach" feels too dull, not that it should pop, but i think that a little bit more yellow in the midtones and highlights would do some good. The one red tree could have been a problem, but you did well to place it under the mountain. Contrary to drayde, i think that the beach isn't excessive, but that even a little bit more would be nice, even if at the expense of the sky, in order to make it a viable layer. Your use of the layers of alternating diagonals makes this a very deep composition.
Thanks!
