Photographer’s Note
The Morenada is the biggest dance at the Carnaval de Oruro; there are dozens of different Morenada groups in Oruro's Carnival, but the festivity is more known for its Diablada dance, of which there are only a handful of groups. Here is one of them. This dance represents different demons, probably from the mines, wich are believed to be inhabited by them.
I used a wide-angle lens here.
It is a scanned picture, and this wasn't a great scanner, so sharpness and resolution are not the best. However, I think that this gives the image an special dreamy mood, what do you think?
I posted a wrong note and title when I uploaded this image, so I just corrected it. Sorry for that.

Hi Daniel,
my eyes are led to the people on the balcony...i think that there is too much space in the middle...but i like the feeling of movement here...people in Oruro told me that the preparations for the carnival can take long months...after what i've seen during the Gran Poder in La Paz i'm very keen to see the Oruro carnival but this year i did not get holidays right on time to go to Bolivia in February...cheers, arturo
