Green and white lagoons Photo

Photographer’s Note

These 2 lagoons are located near borderline Chile/Bolivia, at side of Licancabur and Juriques volcanoes. They are separated by this strip of land, at right it is green lagoon (Laguna Verde) and at left the small one is called Laguna Blanca (White Lagoon). They have different colors according with minerals inside their waters. There are many other lagoons like that ones in that zone near Andes mountains, many of them full of flamingoes. A trip from San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) to Uyuni (Bolivia) inside a jeep 4x4 is one of the most interesting experiences a tourist can do in the world. If you can: DO IT !

A spectacular landscape, and the volcano in the background is amazing too. Good capture of colours and scale - the tourist in the foreground gives a great sense of size.

Les couleurs de l'eau, de la plage, de la montagne et du ciel sont magnifiques. Je trouve, par contre, que le premier plan est un peu moins esthétique et prend trop de place dans l'image

This is also a wonderful landscape that you show us. The colours of the water and of the mount are fantatstic. Perhaps a bit more contrast, and cropping the foreground would make it even better. I do not know Bolivia, but the landscapes I discover through such photos are very inviting.

Very beautiful! You have captured a majestic landscape very creatively. Including the tourist definitely helps define the large scale of the mountain. I may have cropped a little off the bottom to compress things a little, but very nice as is.
