| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The valley of Rio Chayanta is one of the most isolated and inaccessible places of Bolivia. This picture was taken after a two hours drive and four hours walk from Colquechaca.
At this period of the year (dry season) the river was only 50m wide and could be crossed without problems by peatons and crops. But, during the rainy season, it often happens that people die while trying to cross the river that might be 500 m in width. The risk is essentially due to flash floods.
Thanks to cooperation funds our NGO "Ingénieurs sans frontières" ) managed to build a bridge in this very remote place with the help of local populations.
The bridge is even visible in the header of the homepage of the NGO. |

our digital images are inherent with adjustable features easily done on a pc with suitable softwares.
your shot is excellent and i like trees...they are sentinels of our planet..i have done some adjustments you may or may not like.
but composition wins out and you have a good block image here with foreground and midground interests

Salut Eric
Cordialement
JP
