on the bolivian altiplano, 4000 meters high, is the laguna colorada, windy and peaceful place, where pink and white flamingos live
Each laguna has a special color, this one is the most characteristic of the sur lipez. |

Bonjour Jacques,
This place looks amazing! Is it used to dry salt? These colours are quite typical of overly salty water. At this altitude I would guess it's quite rare! Maybe some other kind of naturally occuring mineral deposit?
I like the lonely couple too!
Merci! Eleni
Hi Jacques
More informations :
Laguna colorada is 4278m high.
Red colors come from the diatomas color.
Salt deposit aroud the lake is Ulexite (boron salt).

Bonjour,
J aime bcp, les couleurs claquent moins que ma photo mais ton cadrage est sympa, les flamants bien positionnés apportent de la vie dans cet univers minéral.
Amicalement,
Seb.
Hi Jacques! Amazing landscape. Original minimalistic picture. Wonderful colors. Good shot.
Best regard!
