[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For a small sum, one can take the teleférico (cable cars) shown from the base of the cerro San Pedro to the summit to see the Cristo de la Concordia. Having previously scaled the thousands of steps on foot on another occasion, I decided to try out this very modern-looking service for my next visit. It was rather pleasant, though obviously not nearly as good of a workout!

The cars run as shown in groups of three, leaving every few minutes as long as the customers keep coming. Pictured in the background of this shot is the laguna Alalay as well as some of the city below. One also notes the haze present in the air, which is common in Cochabamba due to its location in a valley where contamination often settles.

Post-processing: crop to 3:2, levels and curves.

Hi Adam:

Nice composition, I liked the contrast of the yellow cars and the city in the background

Hi Adam,

excellent idea with the laguna being part of the background...it gives more "air" to this composition...
I have to agree with you, even though the hill is note necessary that high...goin' up those stairs can be quite exhausting...cheers, artur

Hola Adam,

Fine light and a fine repetition of the three. The haze helps you to lift out the closer objects from the back.
